The bass fishing in the Orlando area has been slow, every time the
weather starts stabilizing we have another cold front move through, which
slows the bite down for another 3 to 5 days. Even the shinner bite has not
improved. We are still catching fish but only 3 to 10 per 1/2 day trip. Most
of these are coming on buzz tails working on top throw the vegetation then
stopping it on the outside of the cover the work it slowly to the boat.
worms,grubs,gitzits and buzz tails on jig heads or Carolina rigs or Texas
rigs working them slowly in open water. Some of the tributaries of the St.
Johns up close to the source where the water is warmer the fishing is a
little better because the temperature change is not as drastic.
